Here’s a quick teaser (in german) on what we are currently working on (among other things) that will be presented at the annual show.
The HYGIENE project is focused on applying design methods to tackle the growing problem of hospital induced infections. In Germany 13000 deaths are caused by these nosocomial infections each year. (Traffic: 3000 deaths p.a.).
The problem is growing and recently some scientists have even proclaimed the dawn of the post-antibiotic era.
The prototypes developed by 12 undergraduate students from the product design and visual communications department intend to provide additional ways to tackle (part) of the problem from unusual perspectives.
